Introduction

First of all, it is necessary to mention, that the education system and structure is constantly changing nowadays. These changes touch upon not only the principles and regulations of the education process, but also the management processes. The hierarchical management structure is one of the weakest points in the contemporary education system; consequently, the schools of future would have definitely different structure.

Education Principles

As for the principles of education, the perfect perception is when the information is recorded directly into the brain. Until such system is not invented, the principles of education will stay at comparatively the same level. The principles will be based on extensive use of the digital technologies, and on the engagement of the students into the processes of discussion, virtual practicing, and teaching by the students, as the reception of the material increases up to 90percent, if the student is engaged in the teaching process.

The school structures of the future will be aimed to support the educational process. More attention will be focused on the student self regulation, and self education, as the student remembers much better the information, he or she found without any help or reference. The key questions of the management will be the following:

  • How do the leaders cope with risk management?
  • How the staffing and management structures are adapted to maintain the effectiveness of study and learning processes
  • How the tracking and self development issues are applied by the teachers
  • How do the heads and the teachers see the school of future themselves? (Sallis, 2007)

The latter question is regarded to be the most essential for the entire issue, as the understanding of the problem is the half of solution. Moreover, the teachers should not be focused only on the conservative education methods, but also on the liberal methodic, and the innovative means of education, systems of knowledge check, and the tools of engaging the student into the education process, including the methods of getting the interested.

Means of Education

The necessity of the implementation of IT in the education sphere is beyond any doubt. Currently, the communication technologies are used for the communication between teacher and student, for working out the team projects, for searching necessary information. The IT is used for practicing through fine-tuning the abilities and skills of acting in the particular situations. The IT in the school of future will be used for arranging video conferences with the experts, who will be able to share their experience with the students, student will have an opportunity to follow the world conferences, devoted to their majors. The communication with the libraries all over the world will provide an excellent opportunity for working out the interesting projects, relating to the issues of world economy, international relations, linguistics, world culture and others. (Richards, Taylor, 2006).

Finally, the wireless communication technologies for portable PCs will provide the opportunity to search the real-time information, if it is extremely necessary for a colloquium conference, seminar etc. Moreover, the schools all over the world should keep in touch, in order to arrange the student exchange programs, and constantly lead the process of experience exchange.

Actually, in order to create the technology-based educational system, the teachers and the politicians, responsible for the education system should put away all the prejudices, and clearly realize, that the technology based education is the matter of the future, consequently the whole paradigm of the educational system should be changed. The reason of this change is not only the fact that the system is outdated, but is well known, that the changes will lead to the progress.

Management

As for the matters of managing the school staffing, and implementing the new structure, it is necessary to mention that the structure should be more centralized, paying more attention to the all the organizational issues in the hands of the executive team. The teachers should not participate in school management, as they should constantly study, and improve the skills and knowledge, but not solve the issues, related to the school regulation. Nevertheless, the process of school regulation should involve students’ participation, in order the youngsters had an opportunity to improve the managerial skills, and were able to take independent and serious decisions. (Brownstein, 2005).

The managerial model is required to entail the principles of encouragement of the initiatives, and be flexible for rational innovations and for the necessary changes. It should not totally exclude the participation of the teachers in the managerial process, as the interests and suggestions by the teaching staff should be taken into account.

Conclusion

The school of the future will be featured by the innovative management and educational processes that would entail the principles of high centralization, self-regulation and self-education. The educational paradigm, which has not been essentially changed for more than seventy years should be replaced by the new one.
