Nietzsche accuses philosophers of not being competent in his work because they lack a clear sense through supporting rigid premises. Therefore, when taking into consideration the issue associated with moral values. This is because philosophers are constantly accused of supporting a metaphysical system, especially when debating issues revolving around faith. Accordingly, in the text, Nietzsche asserts that there exists some rationality on the existence of “good and evil.” As such, the text discusses the notion of good and evil, especially by focusing on the traditional sense of morality. This is a topic that is mainly subjected to a destructive critique that mainly favors an affirmative approach intended to deal with the nature of knowledge and humanity’s challenging situations.

In his argument about the “genealogy of mortality,” Nietzsche states that it comprises three treaties devoted to a primary idea’s psychological explanation. He argues that moral consciousness comprises altruistic concern for other individuals (Nietzsche, 2020). He observes a striking aspect, which is a conception of what constitutes morality. There are two ethical assessment patterns linked to an essential pair of terms that can be used for evaluation, for instance, “good and evil.”

He indicates that the Christian world is characterized with false piety and infected but considers “slave morality” (Nietzsche, 2020). Further, he turns from the critique to a philosophy that celebrates the present condition and demands that people enforce their will to power upon the world. In his work, Nietzsche accuses past philosophers’ premises with what he regards as the true nature of a free spirit that surrounds a specific point of view. He expresses optimism and the hope that, in future, philosophers’ arguments will be logical and succinct.

Critical Evaluation

The chapters present meaning and values, which indicates that Nietzsche does not deal with bare facts. In essence, individuals’ spiritual strength are measurable because of their differences. The chapter indicates that the strength between individuals is characterized by cruelty. Cruelty exposes their prejudice and assumptions to enable them to reflect on selves.

It is reasonable to have an understanding of the real meaning of the genealogy of mortality. I agree with the author since the concept comprises three treaties devoted to a psychological explanation of primary idea work in its entirety depending on a solid grasp of Nietzsche’s views on truth and language application. The chapter makes it possible for readers to understand his metaphysics and conception of the will of power. He observes the traditional philosophy’s facts, which are far from rigid and considered subject to various kinds of shifts and changes.

According to Nietzsche expresses intellect by analyzing the concept that offers opposite meanings at different times. In his views, the concept of good has had different meanings since different philosophers will have emerged to make the concept appropriate. However, there is no such term as one correct or absolute viewpoint since each is the expression of some will or other. From Nietzsche’s point of view, rather than talk about truth, it is essential to maintain flexibility as much as possible.

The future’s ideal philosophy should focus on change perspectives and overturn truth with other dogmas associated with rigid thinking. Such philosophy should be used to understand the moral concepts, for instance, “good and evil,” which merely resurfaces and lacks inherent meaning. Therefore, I agree that the book is among the best moral philosophies ever written with a passionate argument.
