Introduction

We are living I a changing world that technology has become the order of the day. In this essay, we will talk about the importance of including or not including the technical or non-technical staff in coming up with some decision in the company. A type of technology that one may think about can be management information technology. Management information system is a part of all internal controls of a business covering the functions of employees and clients, documents, procedures and technologies by the Management Accountants in solving business problems. These business problems can be the business long-term plans or decision of products and service costs.

Main body

Information system helps in analyzing organizational decisions. This type of technology helps in human decision-making. It helps the managers to develop strategies through easy decision-making. After getting the understanding of this form of management, let us make a consideration if the management should or should not share some ideas with technical and non-technical staff. These ideas include; project plans, implementation plans, training plans and support strategies.

A determination of if to share the above information with non-technical group

Project plans; a project plan is a form of acknowledged documents that are used during the initiation of a project. When coming up with a decision to start a new technology, there are many agreements that are required. Organization manager with other organizers have to agree. With this, some agreement is required. Therefore, some documents should be inclusive in the support the activities.

In most cases, management has overlooked non-technical staff when making a project plan. Project plan is something vital to the organizational development. Overlooking the non-technical group will at time cause a poor development of the project plan. The non-technical staff is as important as the technical staff. Besides this, some members from the non-technical staff are very creative but they have not had chance to express themselves and if given a chance they will prove their ability.

When making a project plan, some measures will tend to be difficult for the management to deal with, this means that the management requires help in order to come up with a lasting solution to the company’s decision-making. I know that most of the time the management tends to disbelieve the non-technical staff and thus have fear of exposing the organizational project plans to them. To some extend, this fear is true but the organization can avoid it by building trust between the organizational members.

When mutual trust and understanding is built between the members and the management, such plans will not have problems if shared with the non-technical group. If for some reason the organization feels insecurity in sharing such important plans with the non-technical group then it should just involve them indirectly. Indirect inclusion of the non-technical group may mean having them to give opinions and ideas only.

Implementation plans; implementation plan deals with the coming up with the plans or ideas to run the organization or institution (Richards, D (n.d)). On the implementation plan, there is no need of including non-technical group. The implementation plan requires the hand of the management and the technical group only since the non-technical group was already included in the project plan decisions. During the implementation, the management does not require too much and therefore it plays this part without any aid. There have been arguments that the non-technical staff should be involved in the implementation strategies. I don’t see the reason as to why the non-technical staff should be involved in the implementation plans. These plans are not yet set in the organization because they are still raw, it is therefore better for the non-technical staff to wait for the new process especially when they have been included in the project plans.

Training plans, training plans are the plans that help a company to draw up the activities to carry out and the agreed objectives to the organizational members (www.brianmac.co.uk, (n.d)). These plans do not require the non-technical group. The non-technical group is the one to benefit from the training of the new technology training. The training plans are plans aimed at providing training of the new technology to the non-technical staff. Including them, will mean they are not the subjects to the plans.

Support strategies; the support strategies are the systematic plans set to enhance achievement of goals within an organization set up or a company (Smith, H.L (n.d)). In the implementation of such plans, non-technical staff or group is not inclusive. Strategic plans are vital to the organizational improvement and success. It requires the management to be careful when coming up with such plans.

Support strategies require persons with experience and high skill. Sincerely most non-technical staff has low qualification and cannot be inclusive of the support strategies. Support strategies need more attention from the management and the technical staff than the non-technical staff. Therefore, we see the reason as to why the non-technical staff has no need to be inclusive of the support strategies.

A determination of if to share the above information with technical group

Project plans; the technical staff is an important group in an organization. It is very important to include them in the project plans. The technical staff has acquired more knowledge in studies and has an opportunity to work on technical issues in the organization. For this reason, they should be included in projects plans because they have useful information that will prosper the plans of new technology in the organization. At time, management has found a reason of not including the technical staff in project plans. Technical staff, especially in management information system has access to more information in the office and threats to leak out this information. Even though this may be the case, we cannot miss to include them in the project plans.

I highly recommend that technical staff be included in the project plan because of the efficiency that they bring to the organization. Actually, we cannot judge that the technical group leak out information and base this as fact to eliminate them from the participation of the project plans.

Implementation plans; the technical group should as well be included in the implementation of these plans. The implementation of plans is a process by which raw plans are put in place. This means the technical group must be involved in this process. The technical staff has relevant knowledge that helps the organization in the implementation plans.

Training plans, training plans puts into consideration what type of training to make and the person to make training, then the place where the training should take place. Besides this, training plans are the plans that involve the training of the new technology to the required members in the organization. The training plans is only restricted to the members that are involved in offering tainting. In most cases, the technical staff undertakes such duties in the organization. Actually, the management should include the technical staff in the training plans. They serve a great deal in the organization because they train the members to use the new technology in the organization.

The inclusion of the technical staff in the training plans enhances organization’s performance and profitability. When involving the technical staff the organization cuts down the cost of hiring members to come and undertake technical activities in the organization. The same members provide efficiency through training other staff members thus making them skillful and more productive to the organization or the company.

Support strategies; as we have seen that the support strategies deals with important ideas that build up the organization, we now have a reason to say that the technical staff is very important in this part. The technical staff will be required to carryout some important tasks that helps in the support strategies. When the technical staff is included in the support strategies, there will be quality enhancement in the company in a way that the organizational members will learn effective ways of work through the support strategies.

Conclusion

In an organization set up, both the technical staff and the non-technical staff are very important and they help the organization according to their abilities. When coming up with some decisions like the technology implementation it is wise that they are included in some areas. They cannot be included in all areas of the company’s decisions. Some areas of decision making in the company requires the management and the technical staff only whereas some will even include the management without the technical staff. Therefore, it is good to note that all members are usefully in the decision-making in the company.
