The maintenance of a productive performance by both employees and the management within an organization is very imperative. Due to the diversity in the workplace, there is uniqueness for all. Therefore, it is vital for organizations to create and execute creative communication strategies that enable them to have a community in the work environment. Organizations should therefore execute all aspects of communication skills within the parties to it. With the need to retain and empower employees, business leaders have emphasized good communication as an important tool towards that aspect.
Working together as a team within an organization in achieving its goals and objectives is very important. With the various interactions in the life of a person with other people, communication is an important aspect in which a person trains him/herself about it while still at a young age. Therefore, communication progresses in its development in the life of a person as he/she continues to grow.
At a personal level; communication may not be much of an effect. However, within the context of a team, it becomes an important factor of consideration. Therefore, the roles of maintenance and team building by a business are time consuming and sensitive process. From the results of various research findings, an organization’s failure in team building is a result of various factors. These include the inability to formulate clear goals, lack of well-defined roles, and poor leadership within the organization.
Either, team building can be achieved through three levels by the management. These are; the assignment of a supervisor to a group of associates, the assignment of a manager to each of the groups comprising of a supervisor and associates, and the reporting to the supervisor by the different managers. With such a process of the good aspect of team building and interpersonal communication allows the development in the workplace. (Praeger, 1999).
At the workplace, dialogue is a key factor for effective communication. The people within the organization will share honest opinions in which case, ideas will be got without an offense from the others. Individuals will be taught the aspect of being honest and hence making better decisions (Corporate, 2007).
Effective team building is adequately explained through various organizational models, communication, and result-oriented process. The choice of different guidelines to determine the most beneficial team programs would be considered. However, in choosing a certain program; a person should consider some five guidelines. These are choice of a program that would adequately suit an organization, a program in which the outcome will meet the training goals, finding training that translates skills to the workplace, placing people outside their comfort zones, and getting away to a different environment (Gostavas, 2005).
By its definition, communication analysis is the original speech that will explain, analyze or evaluate a communication strategy such as speech advertisement, text symbol, icon, etc. (Gastavas, 2005). Coherent speech is used to provide new information or guidelines at the workplace incase of any improved changes. Managers will actively communicate with the workers with good communication skills and through grammar that is adequately correct. With the growing technology, communication within an organization has been made easier. Parties within an organization can therefore adequately transfer information from one person to another. This is through various techniques such as the internet and computer network system within the organizations. Good communication within such organizations is important for improving the productivity of these organizations. Elsewhere, this is an important tool for the organization in its attempt to maintain a highly competitive environment. Competitive advantage is either important for the survival of the organization in the business environment. (Suchan, Charles, 2006).
Therefore, team building should be highly emphasized in the workplace. The effective flow of information can be determined by the kind of communication strategies used in the workplace.
