This persuasive essay will focus on what image abortion has in society. The argument is that every woman should have the right to have her pregnancy terminated if she believes that this decision will either bring positive consequences or help avoid negative ones. This health-related issue has received my attention since I am currently working as a medical assistant. Three key points are helpful in supporting the given argument. Firstly, a desire to avoid poverty and unhealthy spousal relations justifies an abortion. Secondly, this choice should be allowed if a woman has already had a complicated pregnancy and traumatic birth. Thirdly, morally is allowed if it is caused by rape or incest.

The essay’s audience will include pregnant women as well as pro- and against-abortion activists. The leading challenge in supporting the argument will be to offer logical, reliable, and persuasive evidence. Thus, the essay’s goal will be to persuade people that abortion is a choice rather than a crime. That is why credible evidence and a logical writing flow will determine whether the essay will be successful.

The information above stipulates that a few supporting resources are required. The essay will focus on the articles by Flanagan (2019), Scarfone (2020), and Talbot (2020). Flanagan (2019) offers a historical overview of the abortion procedure in the United States and claims that previous pregnancy complications are reasonable to obtain an abortion. Scarfone (2020) comments on the Turnaway Study findings to identify how pregnancy termination influences women’s lives. The author demonstrates that a failure to receive an abortion made women live in poverty and suffer physical abuse from their child’s fathers (Scarfone, 2020). Finally, Talbot (2020) presents both supporting and opposing evidence and stipulates that cases when rape or incest cause pregnancy are a powerful reason to avoid criminalizing abortion. The most effective way is to integrate evidence when the essay presents the key points above. It is so because the references will make them more persuasive and reputable.

The essay revision strategy would involve proofreading the work and checking whether it offers sound reasoning behind each claim. This approach would be practical because some logical links can be lost during writing. Thus, additional revision actions would be effective to identify and eliminate inefficiencies. My instructor’s feedback is useful because it helps me improve my writing. I decided to make my writing plan more specific and avoid irrelevant information after receiving this feedback.
